Vampires , Werewolves and Tamales | Budville Mystery Theater Halloween Special

Greetings and welcome to Budville Mystery Theater's first Halloween Special!

As you know, the book is always better than the movie, so here is the Halloween story, followed by the movie of: Vampires, Werewolves and Tamales

Vampires, Werewolves and Tamales

AhBudville, the perfect seaside town where the sun kisses the ocean, and the breeze carries the sweet scent of... well, let's just say "herbal enlightenment." Enter our protagonists, a coven of vampires, not your typical blood-sucking night owls, but rather, a group with a taste for the avant-garde.

These vampires, led by the charismatic Count Budula, had heard whispers of a legendary strain of cannabis, "Alien Haze," rumored to be a gift from extraterrestrials. This wasn't just any weed; it was the vampire's holy grail, allowing them to frolic in daylight, provided they accessorized with Ray-Bans and maintained a certain... elevation.

Upon their arrival, Budville's quaint charm was undeniable. The townsfolk, initially wary, were soon won over by the vampires' charm and their newfound culinary interest in tamales over hemoglobin. The local tamale vendor, Señorita Salsa, found her business booming, though she was puzzled by the sudden preference for her tamales "extra rare."

The vampires, now known as the "Sunlight Stoners," integrated seamlessly. They opened a café, "The Crimson Leaf," where they served tamales and their special brew, "Vampuccino," which, rumor had it, was infused with just a hint of Alien Haze.

However, not all was well in Budville. A rival gang of werewolves, the "Moon Howlers," jealous of the vampires' new lifestyle, plotted to steal the Alien Haze. Their leader, Lupin Lupin, believed that if werewolves could get high on this strain, they might control their transformations, leading to a life less hairy.

The climax of our tale unfolds during Budville's annual Halloween festival, "Fright Fest." The town square was set for the "Great Tamale Toss," where Señorita Salsa would throw tamales to the crowd, but this year, the tamales were stuffed with Alien Haze.

As the festival reached its peak, under the cover of night, the Moon Howlers made their move. A chase ensued, but not before Count Budula, in a stroke of genius, tossed a tamale to Lupin Lupin. The werewolf, unable to resist the aroma, took a bite, and... peace was restored. The werewolves, now partaking in the Alien Haze, joined the vampires in their daylight escapades, their howls now more of a mellow, harmonious hum.

And so, Budville became not just a haven for the sun-loving vampires but a sanctuary for all creatures of the night (and day) seeking a bit of peace, love, and tamales. The moral of the story? Sometimes, all it takes to bring peace is a good tamale and a bit of cosmic herb.
